What a beautiful day for a RC airshow to support Hoosier Veterans Assistance Foundation! First, thank you to all the Blacksheep who showed up and helped in many different ways to make this day a huge success.

The day started out with the raising of the American flag, our national anthem and a fly over by full scale Indy Bipe team. 4 of our club member veterans; Harold Etling, Hammack, Terry Hatfield and Greg Stanfill honored us as flag raisers. Beautiful blue skies and light winds most of the day right down the runway made for a fantastic day of flying. There were over 100 rc aircraft on display and flying throughout the day. Just about every type and size of rc aircraft were featured from small foamies to large aerobatic planes to jets (both turbine and EDF) to helicopters were featured. We were blessed to have a large attendance of youth that really enjoyed Don Schmedake's candy and parachute drops. They all got candy and a parachute to take home.

Bill Clontz Heating and Cooling provided the BBQ lunch enjoyed by over 120 persons. We had several rc airplanes and various give aways donated by local merchants for the raffle as well as a 50/50 drawing, with all proceeds going to Hoosier Veterans Assistance Foundation. While still counting to identify a final count, we have raised over $8,600 on our initial count.

A few photos from the day. The skies were overcast gray and rainy all day, not a good day for photos. Click on any photo for a larger view.

Please mark your calendars for the second Saturday in August 2025 and plan to attend next years event.
