This year was our 8th annual Warbird event, with each year turning out to be a bigger and better event. Everybody loves to watch Warbirds fly, any type, any size. Our event was AMA sanctioned again this year and we had have hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, soda and desserts like in the past years.

Registration started around 8 am and then it is open flying all day. We held the raffles and trophy presentation at 2:30 in the afternoon, then back to flying or guys can cut out if they wish.

Wow, what a great day for our 8th Annual Warbird Fy-In, it turned out great. Mild temperatures, light winds and mostly sunny skies all day. We had 38 registered pilots this year and the variety of planes was simply amazing. There were over 100 aircraft of all kinds, most likely the most different you will ever see in one event. From micro warbirds to Don Schmedake's Horton Flying wing as seen in Raiders of the Lost Ark to Ryan Jones' V22 to 1/5 scale warbirds, we had everything! A BIG thank you goes to all the club members who pitched in and made this an outstanding event. Special thanks to Joe Hartsock for taking on the duties of chief grill master. We served over 70 hamburgers and 70 hotdogs. There were planes or helicopters in the air at all times from 8 am till I left the field at 6 pm. We had several items to raffle off, and every registered pilot received something from our 2015 event supporters. The lucky winners of the pilots raffle were:

FMS 1400 mm Corsair - Timothy Shipp

Hall Aviation flat F-22 - Chuck Baker

Futaba transmitter case - Steve Bushman

General raffle winners:

Micro UMX PT-17 - Warren Estep
